Respect People

People are not objects.
People are not inconveniences to ignore.
People are not furniture to walk around.
People are not hindrances to tut at.
People are not problems to solve.
People are not stones to climb over.
People are not punch-bags to vent your frustration out on.
People are not messes to clean up.
People are not bodies to tag.
People are not sacks to brush past
People are not piles of dirt to be sneered at.
People are not inferior to be looked down on.

No.  People are to be respected.
People are Human Beings, with Eternity in their hearts.
Every person, from the youngest child to the oldest grandparent, has an Eternal Soul inside of them.
Every person has limitless creativity.
Every person has priceless intuition.
Every person has dreams and ambitions, most of them unrealised.
Every person has passion and enthusiasm, joy and laughter within them.
Every person, whatever age, has something to teach me.
Every person can be an inspiration to me.

This writing was born out of what I saw in hospital, surprisingly enough.
People who are used to dealing with computer screens, become impatient when a real-life person doesn't understand them.
People who are used to fixing machines, become frustrated when a real-life person appears more complicated.
A real-life person with a hearing problem, can seem like they are being awkward.
But they are not.
A real-life person with many things on their mind, can seem like they are ignoring you.
But they are not.
A real-life person with depression, who has lost hope, may not move as fast mentally as you.
Let's bare with other people who are not on our wavelength.

I play piano for senior citizens. I see their eyes light up when they hear familiar tunes. I see their eyes sparkle when they talk about themselves. Love them all.
I teach drums to 8 year olds. I see them blossom as I encourage them, and they bloom as they realise they are getting things right and they sound good.

How important it is not to judge others. For when we judge others, we incriminate ourselves.
How important it is to extent respect and compassion to others. For when we do so, we reveal our true selves inside.
